In the current scenario, Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) are recognized as an important constituent in improving the economic health of a nation, employment expansion, creation of entrepreneurial base, and poverty alleviation.
Recognizing the importance of micro and small enterprises, the central and state governments have been implementing several schemes and programmes for the promotion and development of these enterprises.
Among the six basic principles of governance underlying the National Common Minimum Programme (NCMP) of the Government, the continuous economic growth may generate employment and has a great factor of pride assciated with it. Based on its importance and contributions, the NCMP has considered the MSEs as “the most employment-intensive sector of the government of India.
The Ministry of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has recently sanctioned its order and approval to Research and Technology Development Centre (RTDC) to establish a Business Incubation Centre at Sharda University in order to promote emerging technological and knowledge-based innovative ventures that seek the nurturing of ideas from professionals.
This facility will foster opportunities to individual innovators in exploring their novel technological ideas.
The centre will also assist them to become technology based entrepreneurs. Besides, it will also promote networking and forging of linkages with other constituents of the innovation chain for commercialization of their developments.
